This new theme, titled Vermilion Christmas, features an attractive design with a vivid red and green color scheme.
The vermilion header graphic depicts a forest of white Christmas trees with a subtle image of Santa Claus and his reindeer flying over the treetops in the distance on Christmas Eve. You can even make out the faint glow of Rudolf’s nose!
Besides having beautiful graphics, Vermilion Christmas also provides:
- A very SE-friendly design
- Easy styling of images
- An optional static intro for introducing visitors to your blog/website
- An exceptionally user-friendly 404 page that alerts you to broken links
- And much more…
This theme is ideal for anyone that owns a blog or niche site about Christmas or anyone that would just like to spruce up their blog for the Holiday season.
Vermilion Christmas 1.0 can be viewed and downloaded here:

Free support for the theme is available at the same address. Detailed instructions on how to get the most out of Vermilion Christmas will also be available soon.

Hi Darrell,
Thanks for the comment. I’m planning to do more themes, just not sure when. I’d like to do a spring theme, summer theme, a fall theme and a winter theme.

Hi nhquang,
I looked at your blog, but you already changed to another theme. So I didn’t get to see the errors.
I’d like to help you, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to since your blog is on wordpress.com. I don’t think they allow you to edit the template files.

I’m using your vermillion Christmas theme and those readers I hear from like it as well. Is there any chance you’ll be developing other Christmas themes?

Hi Montana Santa,
Sorry I’m so late to answer your question. For some reason Akismet marked your comment as spam.
If I can find the time, I probably will make more Christmas themes. I intended to make some more themes by now, but I’ve been very busy.
If you have any ideas for a theme, feel free to email them to me or just post ‘em on this blog.

Hi there. I am looking for a wordpress template that closely resembles my existing website and it quite simply doesn’t exist. Could you look at my website and tell me if you could do a theme that matches and what the cost would be?
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi Christina,
I have a lot of projects I’m working on right now, but updating my WordPress themes is on my list of things to do.

I really like your themes, but the one I LOVE is this site!! Hope you get some more out, and updated for WP 2.6. You’re very talented!

Thank you Alice. I appreciate that. :)
I’m hoping I’ll have time to do some more themes soon… we’ll see.

Love this theme, but I have two problems. The answers may be self-evident — I firmly believe there ARE, in fact, stupid questions and these may be 2.
How to you sign in to post? I don’t see that anywhere.
How do I get rid of the “my site description” words?
Thanks; my family uses a Christmas blog each year and this is beautiful.

Hi Julie,
Unfortunately I can’t help you. I designed the theme for WordPress and it looks like someone took my theme and converted it to Blogger. I’d help if I could but I don’t know anything about Blogger.
Have you tried setting up your Christmas blog on WordPress.com? A lot of people prefer it over Blogger and the Vermilion Christmas theme is available there as well. And I’m pretty sure you won’t have the problems you’re having now. You can also easily import your posts from Blogger to WordPress.

Thanks for the great theme. It works great for my computer controlled animated christmas light display. I was wondering if this is compatible with the new wordpress 2.7?
December 15th, 2008 at 5:40 pm
I haven’t tested it yet with WP 2.7 but I’ve read the page on the WP Codex about migrating themes to 2.7 and I believe it will work just fine.
